Event: Happiness (Review)

This is a summary of this event: http://www.intelligentchat.co.uk/events/happiness/ We had a good turnout for the first comeback event after quite a long break. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. The video we watched described a study of a group of men over many decades. The most important factor regarding happiness appeared to be the quality of the relationships people had (not necessarily the quantity). People in the group were asked what the personal experiences of happiness they had had. Connecting With Local Groups

I contacted the Abergavenny branch of the University of the Third Age (U3A), which although sounding like some kind of cult, is instead an intriguing organisation for retired people to meet up and learn in a relaxed environment. The discussion group they run has some interesting topics, including: Morals without Religion? - October 2nd 2018 (sadly passed now) Has Feminism had its day? - March 5th 2019 I'd recommend anyone aged 55+ who is interested in having stimulating discussions to check them out. The group used to have an online presence at MeetUp.com but due to expenses, we moved to this dedicated website instead.
